Did you sing in a high school or college choir?  Do you sing in a church or synagogue choir?  Do you enjoy singing in a group setting?  Are you looking for a home where you can share your talents as a chorus member and perhaps soloist?  Would you like to hear the applause of an appreciative 

audience? 

 

All this and more is waiting for you at the Boca Raton Singers.  Now is the time to take the first step by auditioning!

Preparing for the Audition

 

  • No need to prepare a musical selection.
  • You will be required to complete a registration form indicating experience in singing with a Chorus or Choir. 
  • Prior experience in Choral Singing is preferred. 
  • You will be required to sing scales,  both major and chromatic.
  • You will be required to match musical figures.
  • The quality of your voice and the ability to blend as a member of the group is essential.
  • Remember, the BRS requires a membership fee to join.  Make sure that you ask about this BEFORE you audition.  

 

Responsibilities of Membership in the BRS 

 

  • Attend rehearsals: Mondays 7pm-9pm.
  • Attend any special rehearsals prior to a concert as necessary.
  • Attend all concerts as scheduled.
  • Participate, when posssible, in all fund raising activities.
  • Pay membership dues.
  • Assist in the selling of concert tickets. 
  • The BRS provides all music at no additional cost.

The Ladies of the chorus have fun "strutting their stuff"

with "Hey Big Spender", one of many musical selections performed at the Crest Theatre in Delray Beach Florida.
